When I know not what to do, I come and blog or write. The articulation helps to shape my jumbled thoughts.

I realise that since I went overseas for Chinese New Year, my daily routine had been turned upside down. That made life feel chaotic. The morning journaling, breakfast and sips of water vanished. It took a month to reinstate everything, including waking earlier, and I feel much calmer.

With that calmness, I know what has to be done next.

With that calmness, I have the capacity to hold space for chaos and not let it overwhelm me.

The calmness ebbs and flows. With it comes my clarity to focus on what matters.

This is my reminder to step back and step away when I feel overwhelmed.

When I feel the need to rush forward, the better option for me is to stop, step back, step aside and reflect. Calming my nervous system leads to a better overall outcome.
