As a Notion Expert, I conduct pre-arranged 30 minutes calls with anyone in the world. Most are business owners.
In one call, a business owner told me that the previous Notion Expert that he had spoken to wasn’t of much help to him. I gave a sympathetic face and asked what help he needed.
Towards the end of the call, he thanked me for clarifying many of his questions in a short time. I thanked him for his clarity of thought and goals, which is what helps to solve issues fasters.
He again recounted his previous experience with the other Notion Expert and I prepared myself to apologise for the other Expert. I don’t always perform well in calls, and I’d like to think that another Expert else would do this for me should this ever happen.
The business owner then said, “but the person might have been having a bad day, so the call didn’t turn out well”.
Such grace and acceptance! I nodded and smiled.
Something that I can learn from. To give myself and others grace for bad days that we might have.
